Standby Diesel Generating Sets Technical Specifications


The generating sets are usually installed on remote, without personnel telecom sites and are intended to supply the site in case of mains failure. Mains failure is considered if either of the following occurs:
  • mains off , one or more phases
  • mains voltage out of range, bellow or above.

  • Output power: within 5 – 1000 KVA range.
  • Output voltage: 230 / 400 V a.c., 50Hz, 1 / 3-phase. Please quote mono-phase too, for output power within 4.5 – 16KVA range.

Automatic Load Transfer Device
  • Automatic switch from mains to generator in case of mains failure. Automatic switch back after mains restores.
  • Adjustable mains voltage out_of_range thresholds. Continuous adjustment in the 175 – 260 V a.c. range (or larger) preferred.
  • Adjustable automatic start delay.
  • Prevent false starts due to transient high load current.

Diesel Generator in Shelter with Fuel Tank

The shelter should be
  • Weatherproof (regarding humidity and temperature)
  • Antitheft
  • Fire protection minimum 30 minutes
  • Mice-proof
  • Fuel tank can be designed between 4hours to 6 month autonomy depending on site access and client needs
General
  • Diesel Genset will be able to run in Prime Power Mode. (Standby Power Mode is usual, but it also able to support Prime Power Mode periods of at least 3 days, without any permanent damage).
  • Emergency stop button
  • Hours meter (if specified)
  • Fuel level indicator (if specified)
  • NC/NO relay contact alarm outputs: generator start, generator fault, low fuel level
